This is a podcast of the first backpack trip I took to the Hoover Wilderness. In this episode I tell everyone how I became interested in backpacking and what vintage gear I used. I also tell about the unusual people I met on the trail, my bear encounter of an unusually close kind and my solo journey up and under a slab of ice.
