Perseid Meteor Shower Night Hike

This edition of Anthony's Audio Journal is about a night hike to the summit of Stonewall Peak to view the annual Perseid Meteor Showers. Katie, Dave and I set up camp at Paso Pichacho Campground in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park in Eastern San Diego County before starting our hike to the peak. Along the way we do a short evening hike to Lake Cuyamaca and talk about what to expect on the night hike.

This audio journal exposes our fears about hiking in the dark, the risk of mountain lion attacks and rattlesnake bites as well as being mutilated in our sleep by a psysho killer camped next to us.

At the end of the journal I read from a list of real mountain lion encounters in or near the state park and feature some music from the Darren james Band.
