This episode of Anthonys Audio Journal is about a day hike I took with my daughter and my two dogs, Cody the Golden Retriever, and Cheyenne, the Siberian Husky. We hiked up the Cedar Springs Trail to the junction with the Pacific Crest Trail and hiked along the desert divide. Along the way we hiked in snow, unusual for this location and elevation. I give our thoughts and trail descriptions along the way and interview an interesting couple hiking up the trail.

This hour long podcast is about a day hike to the summit of Mt. Whitney. We made the 22 mile roundtrip hike starting at 3:00 A.M. and hiked up the Mt. Whitney Trail. This audio journal describes our training and motivation for attempting one of the most popular hiking trails in the country. I also give trail descriptions and talk about people I met along the way.

This is the second part of the Big Pine Lakes Backpack Trip we took a few years back. This edition picks up at our camp between Lake #1 and Lake #2. From here we head up to lake #3 and our camp with a view of Temple Crag. I did a little fly fishing and ran into a pack of wild dogs before heading back out past the Lon Chaney Cabin and back down to the car.

This podcast is part one of a backpack trip to the Big Pine Lakes region of the Eastern Sierras. In this edition we hike up the North Fork of Big Pine Creek past the Lon Chaney cabin and spend a night between the first and second lakes. Along the way, I have what I'm calling "a little medical incident" and meet some hikers heading up and coming down from the Palisades Glacier.
