This episode is about a quick overnight backpack trip to the San Jacinto Wilderness of the San Bernardino Forest in Southern California. We took this 2 day trip during one of the hotest weekends of the year, using the Devil's Slide Trail to get to the summit of San Jacinto Peak. We hiked down the other side and spent the night at the Little Round Valley camp. We continued back to the car using the Marion Mountain Trail and drove back to Idyllwild.

Along the way we ran into some friendly hikers as I share my experience of hiking in the back country and tell what it's like spending the night where Indian legends were born.
