Icehouse Canyon Timber Mountain

In this episode of Anthony's Audio Journal Dane,Katie and I take a winter day hike up the Icehouse Canyon Trail to the summit of Timber Mountain in the Angeles National Forest of Southern California.

We hiked up this splendid canyon in light snow cover and explore abandoned cabins and view an icy cold creek enroute to our lunch spot at Icehouse Saddle. From here We continue up to the summit of Timber Mountain, or is it?

Along the way I talked to an Italian hiker with three dogs and fire up my vintage Svea climber stove for some warm beverages.


I also shot a video along the way and uploaded it to Google Video. Check out the video after listening to the podcast to get a better view of the canyon and our surprise on top.
